The everyday things & oddities, putting them in an unique context or lens so that you know them sub-consciously but not consciously. Think of my photography as a visual paramnesia or deja vu. My favorite thing relation to my photographic works is to hear people say is “What is that?” because an object is so familiar to them, yet because of the way the photo is framed or contextualized it becomes new, a different perspective on the very world they think they already know and live in. A shadow world within a world, the world beneath. The world you should see right in front of you but don’t. The world that you thought you saw but didn’t really see…that’s my photography.
